How did you get into surfing and how long have you been on the water for?
My family have been surfing and traveling for many years, so its a way of life for us.
Jess HenryWhy do you love it?
Every wave is different, so traveling the World to surf different spots is amazing, the new people you meet and just having a good time is something that I love.
How much time do you spend surfing, and what are your aims in the sport?
I get in the water every weekend when I'm not at school and then everyday when I'm on school breaks, my overall aim is to represent team GB in the World Games and also compete in the European Pro Junior circuit.
Why would you encourage other girls to get into the sport and any advice on how they can go about it?
When you’re riding along the wave the feeling is unbelievable, you get to travel the World and experience different cultures. If I had any advice it would be to follow your heart don't let people who don't enjoy what you love pull you down.
Jess HenryYou are also now surf coaching, what coaching have you been involved in and where will you be coaching next?
I have just returned from the O'Neill Surf Affinty all girls surf camp in Viuex Boucau which was so much fun the girls had a ball and so did I, for the summer I will be down at the O'Neill Surf Academy at Watergate Bay working with Ashleigh Bennetts, who is head coach, so really looking forward to meeting some more new people and learning some new coaching skills myself.
