Grasshopper porridge to fuel waterwomen through an active, adventurous charity day, on and off the water.
FLOW says:
‘We are ecstatic to have Grassy on board! As a company set up by two women crazy about watersports, Grassy fully understands what you need to energize you for, and warm you up after a day on the water.’
Grasshopper will kindly be donating over 100 pots of yummy, scrummy porridge. A nutritious snack pot will be provided to all entrants, plus there will be some bumper packs for a few lucky prize winners.

Grasshopper is an original colorful brand founded by sisters Abigail and Fleur. They produce instant porridge in a one-portion pot that you can eat anywhere: just add hot water. Certified organic by The Soil Association, Grasshopper porridge bridges the gap between healthy food and food that’s great to eat.
Current flavours include Cinnamon & Raisin, Coconut & Date and Plain (with a sachet of Fair Trade organic sugar). The ingredients are all natural, with no hidden additives or funny business. It is just like you would make at home. All the packaging is recyclable or biodegradable (even the shrink-wrap which is made of cornstarch). You don’t need a saucepan, microwave or fresh milk to make it, just hot water and a spoon.
The Grasshopper girls began making porridge pots for themselves because they wanted to take something healthy and warming to the beach for after sailing and surfing. The business grew from there, and now Grasshopper is sold in shops all over the UK including Waitrose.
Grasshopper has had real success within the travel industry in the short time that they have been introduced to this market. They already have an impressive CV of air, sea and rail customers that include Air New Zealand, Eurostar, Virgin Trains, CrossCountry Trains and Stena Line.
In 2010 they won the prestigious Mercury Award to which the International Travel Catering Association (ITCA) recognized Grasshopper Porridge as best onboard food product 2010.
Grasshopper is part of a wave of new, young UK businesses with real green credentials and a lot of personality. You can find details of where to buy on the website, along with pictures of Grasshopper porridge up Mount Everest and half way across the Atlantic Ocean.
