Jo is a fantastic coach and experienced beyond her years. A talented formula racer now mixing it up on the PWA slalom tour Jo is super fast in a straight line and smooth around the corners. She brings her speed and grace to her freestyle too, and has shown her great potential in the waves. Jo is a key figure in the UK and SWA windsurfing scene and we are sure to hear a lot of exciting news from her in the future.
FLOW is amazing!!! Women improve so much whilst windsurfing/surfing around other women, so try to get out on the water as much as you can with other ladies. Challenge yourself; you never know what you could achieve. But most of all have FUN doing the sport you love!

Started windsurfing when I was 11 years old on a Neilson holiday and have never looked back! Got into racing as a kid, loved it as I got to travel around every weekend visiting new places and always pushing my windsurfing to the next level.
I qualified as an instructor when I was 16 and worked for 2 years at Carsington water whilst I doing my A-levels, getting on the water as much as possible in the UK and abroad. I did my first season with Neilson in Lemnos when I was 18, went from there straight to Dahab, qualified as an Advanced plus instructor and got a job working for Dahab for Neilson over the winter. Learnt how to do some freestyle and generally windsurfed all day every day! I then went to Ortakent, Turkey and got back into a bit of slalom and was lucky enough to receive some outstanding support from Sam Ross (www.sam-ross.co.uk) , Neilson and Tushingham/Starboard to go and compete at the PWA in Alacati last summer. It was an incredible experience to race against the likes of Sarah Quita and Karin Jaggi!
I’m now at Exeter University studying Geography, getting out on the water as much as possible in the waves and squeezing in some freestyle sessions too. I competed in my first wave competition in Gwithian in October, which has really pushed me to improve in waves more and have excitingly booked an 8 week wavesailing trip to El Medano, Tenerife for the summer.
