Sweet Disposition

logo.jpg

The Sweet is the sail designed for women by Italian sail brand Point7.

What Point7 Say:

Design objective:

No reason to hold back; if you’ve got it, flaunt it...

The sweet is all statement  for those who dare, its pure disco

Development:

We took the best sizes from our wave and freeride lines and combined those with a visual design that would leave no doubt to the theme of the sail.

Presenting a lowered boom opening and height of the outhaul grommet, the sail is also fitting smaller riders.

What sizes does the Sweet come in and which would suit me?

We have only 3 sizes. We had more before but it made no sense.

5.2 is the main size for the ladies for freeriding and having fun.

The smaller size down is a 4.5 incase the wind is a more then average conditions, or for petite ladies that prefer a lighter and smaller sail.

5.7 is for the taller girls.

If a smaller sail then 4.5 is needed then also a wave sail like the Swell would be great, and for those girls who want to go bigger then 5.7, then we would advice sails the boys  also would use….such as a freeslalom or slalom sail with no cams.

GretaGretaWere women involved in the development of the sails?

Yes, the development actually was carried out from girls in Sardinia and Lake Garda mainly. Not real professional girls as Greta (Point7 team member) who does  not fear 9.0 racing sails!

The priority was given to the freeriding girls, and Greta gave that extra touch to make it fun also in the waves!

How should a woman set up the sails?

As Ladies need and look for lighter equipment, the best choice is not only to have a lighter sail, but to think more about a lighter mast and boom. The sail needs to have a right weight which allows it to have quality aswell. So think about using a 100% rdm mast on them, this will make a big difference in weight and not only on a kitchen scale, but specially on the water!

Woman’s View:

‘The Sweet is a light sail and really easy to sail because it is not too technical like the pro wave sails, it is like a freeride, for all girls. The lowered boom opening is great for women, and even the design of these sails is suitable for a girl.’ Greta Benvenuti.
